Lamayuru Chilling
Accommodation in a guest house or camping site is available in Lamayuru. It is a big village, horses and porters are available in this village but purchase food stuff and trekking equipment from Leh. The pony trek goes to the south east of Lamayuru, follow the well mark path along a slope which rises gradually to the top of the Prinkitila 3,500 Mtrs high. Then the paths descend down a very narrow gorge till you reach Shela village. The road traverse through the valley of Shela and Wanla can be seen from here at the distance of 5 Kms. And can visit the monastery and a castle in ruin.

1st Day: Delhi to Leh (Complete Rest in Leh for acclimatisation). Take the morning flight for Leh. Check into the guest house and relax the whole day. This is necessary for getting acclimatised. Overnight at the guesthouse.
2nd Day: Leh to Shey to Thiksey to Hemis. On this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries in this area.
3rd Day: Leh to Wanla via Lamayuru 4 hrs. The drive from Leh to Lamayuru takes about three hours. After a visit to the ancient monastery at Lamayuru, you can start your walk to Wanla which is a short hour away; past a small pass Prinkti La (3750m). Dinner and overnight stay in guest house.
4th Day: Wanla to Hinju (3720 mts/12205 ft) 5 hrs. Today's trek winds through more quaint Ladakhi villages before arriving at the meadow camp outside the village of Hinju.
5th Day: Hinju to Sumdo Doksa (4430 mts/14530 ft) via Kongskil La(4950 mts/16236 ft) 6 hrs. A gradual ascent will bring you to the Kongskil La ridge from where you will get great views of Stok and Karakoram ranges. The other side pass is scree and a little difficult to negotiate.
6th Day: Sumda Doksa to Base of Dung Dung Chan La (4430 mts/14530 ft) 5 hrs. After a few river crossings and the village of Sumdo Chenmo, the trails starts gradually ascending to the base of Dung Dung Chan La. Look out for edelweiss and other rare flowers of Ladakh along the way.
7th Day: Base of Dung Dung Chan La to Chilling (3550 mts/11645 ft) 5 hrs. It's a straight climb from the Dung Dung Chan La pass. The trail then descends gradually to the village of Chilling from where a vehicle will pick you up and drop you off at Leh.
8th Day: Free Day at Chilling . The day is for explorations.
9th Day: Chilling to Leh. In the morning we will drive for Leh along with Zanskar River & eventually reach its confluence with the River Indus. From here theroad is good & it is easy drive back to Leh. On arrival transfer to hotel. Dinner & overnight stay in hotel.
10th Day: Leh to Delhi. In the morning transfer to the airport to catch flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi take a half day guided sightseeing. In the evening transfer to International airport to catch onwards flight.
